A final reached, new caps handed out, and a squad that believes it can beat anyone. Buckinghamshire’s 2026 season was one of real progress, reaching a final, earning new caps, and building a squad that believes it can beat anyone.

The season: belief, depth and a final

For G&P ambassador Conner Haddow, 2026 showed what this Bucks group is capable of.

“Overall, I think it was a really positive season,” says Conner. “We continued to grow as a group and played some really good cricket throughout the year. Obviously, we always want to win trophies, but reaching the final showed the level this group can play at and gives us plenty to build on going into next season.”

The run to the final was built on depth rather than one or two stars. “We had some really strong team performances along the way, but for me the biggest positive was seeing different players step up at different times. We’ve got a really good group at Bucks and there’s a lot of belief within the side about what we can achieve.”

Some of that depth came from new faces. “It’s always a special moment being able to welcome new players into the group and recognise what it means to represent Bucks. Seeing new lads come into the side, contribute and buy into what we’re trying to build is something I really enjoy.”

The final itself ended in disappointment, but not in doubt. “Getting to the final was a brilliant achievement and something we were really proud of as a group. Once you get there, you want to go on and win it, so there was disappointment afterwards. But we’ve shown we know what it takes to win, having done it twice in the last three years. Hopefully that gives everyone even more motivation to go one step further next year.”

The target for next season is clear. “For us it’s about becoming more consistent and being ruthless in the big moments. We’ve shown that our best cricket is good enough to compete with anyone, so the next step is producing that level more regularly and turning good positions into wins.”

The brief: a kit with the county in it

Buckinghamshire wanted a kit that looked distinctive, felt professional and belonged unmistakably to Bucks. G&P designed bespoke kit for both all teams, with the County shirt built around the Buckinghamshire swan emblem.

Buckinghamshire CEO Rich Hudson explains why the partnership works:

“We have been delighted with the distinctive, bespoke look G&P has created for our County and Regional teams. In particular, the County shirt brings Buckinghamshire’s swan emblem to life and gives our players a kit they are proud to wear. It is also great for our players to be able to get their clothing from a company based within the county. We particularly appreciate the support G&P has provided to players who need financial assistance to access their kit.”

Alongside the team kit, G&P also supplies Conner’s personal batting equipment, so the partnership runs from the dressing room to the crease.

The results: confidence on and off the field

The kit did more than look the part. In Conner’s words, it changed how the players took the field.

“G&P have been brilliant for us this season. As a team, having high-quality kit that looks and feels professional gives the lads confidence to go out there, play freely and express themselves.”

The same applies when he walks out to bat. “Having equipment that I genuinely trust when I walk out to bat makes a massive difference, and the quality has been outstanding throughout the season. It’s great having a brand that not only supports me personally with my equipment, but also supports Bucks and what we’re trying to build as a team.”
