Common Issues

Broken Handle

A broken handle is one of the most common problems, as it compromises the bat’s structural integrity and performance.  A handle adjustment or a complete re-handle may be an option, so you don’t need to purchase a new bat completely.

Surprisingly, players rarely replace their grip throughout the season – it’s just something they forget to do.

But we’ve got loads in stock.

Toe Repair

Another common area needing attention is the toe. The toe guard protects the bottom edge from damage, but it can become worn or detached. It’s particularly important when it’s wet, so we’d urge you to pick up a new one before your toe breaks completely.

Other details we often see are:

The Bat Refurbishment Process

Assess Repairs

Initially, we will assess the bat to determine the extent of the damage and the necessary repairs, including examining the handle, blade, grip, and toe guard.

We will then be able to give you an accurate cost of the repair.

Complete Repair Work

Once the evaluation is complete, our repair service team proceeds to re-handle, fix cracks, replace the toe guard, and fit a new grip from our stock.

Re-stickering is often part of the process, especially if the bat has undergone handle repairs.

Shipping

Once we’ve finished everything, we’ll complete some final quality checks before return shipping: either to your door directly, or pickup at our shop.
